Services

Student printing at the Atlanta Learning Site is located in the Resource Center.

A dedicated computer and student printer are available for student printing during the access hours of the Resource Center.  The Resource Center's student laptops are also set up to print wirelessly to the student printer.  Printing costs 3 cents per page.  Currently, printing is only available in black and white.

Adding Money to a Print Account

Students can add money, or credit, to their print accounts online with a debit or credit card. To add money to your print account, go to Papercut and sign in with your Canvas username and password.  Click "Add Credit" in the menu on the left and follow the prompts.

For additional information about Student Printing, please see the Student Printing Information on the South College website.

South College ID Cards

All South College faculty, staff, and students are issued a South College ID card.  At the Atlanta Learning Site, ID cards are issued in the Resource Center. The Resource Center is equipped with a camera and a card printer so IDs can be made on an as needed basis.  Faculty and staff ID cards are made during the first week of employment.  Student photos are taken and ID cards made during orientation.

Please contact the Resource Center staff about replacing a lost ID card.

Did you know? Your ID card is also your library card!

The Atlanta Resource Center has 20 student laptops available for check out and use on campus. Please have your South College ID card ready to check out a student laptop.  The laptops are set up to print wirelessly to the student printer in the Resource Center.

Laptops may not leave the building and must be returned the same day they are checked out.

The Writing Lab is open from 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students may bring in their papers with the assignment and have them looked over for clarity, grammar and spelling, and formatting. We do not correct or rewrite student papers, however we will work with the student to locate errors and revise accordingly. It is a good idea to bring in your papers several days before they are due, not the day of. Students may bring in assignments and receive assistance in outlining and planning, researching, and editing papers.

Test Proctoring is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Fridays 8:30am to 5:00pm, through the Resource Center.  Test Proctoring can be used for students making up exams or for students who have approved accommodations for separate, quiet testing through the Student Services Department.  Test proctoring will be conducted in the Resource Center with the exception of students who have approved accommodations for separate, quiet testing.  Students with approved accommodations for separate, quiet testing will have their tests proctored in a study room, classroom, or other private room.  Requests for Test Proctoring are taken on a first come, first serve basis.

The instructor is required to submit the reservation request at least 48 business hours before the exam should be proctored.  Reservations submitted on the weekends will be addressed on the following business day. Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis; it is highly recommended that instructors make reservations as early as possible in the quarter.

Any changes to the appointment should be communicated by the instructor as soon as possible to the Resource Center.  For rescheduled appointments, the Resource Center staff will do their best to accommodate the new requested date and time, when possible.
