Student printing at the Asheville Learning Site is located in the Resource Center.

A dedicated student printer and desktop computers are available for student printing during the access hours of the Resource Center.  The Resource Center's student laptops are also set up to print wirelessly to the student printer.  Printing costs 3 cents per page.  Currently, printing is only available in black and white. 

Adding Money to a Print Account 

Students can add money, or credit, to their print accounts by purchasing a print card from the Resource Center, Business Office, or Financial Aid. Print cards are available in $5 and $10 increments.  In the Resource Center, print cards are sold for cash, exact change only. To purchase a print card with large bills, check, or credit or debit card, please see Financial Aid or the Business Office.  To redeem your print card, go to Papercut and sign in with your Canvas username and password.  Click "Redeem Card" in the menu on the left and follow the prompts.

South College ID Cards

‚ÄčAll South College faculty, staff, and students are issued a South College ID card.  At the Asheville Learning Site, ID cards are issued in the Resource Center. The Resource Center is equipped with a camera and a card printer so IDs can be made on an as needed basis.  Faculty and staff ID cards are made during the first week of employment.  Student photos are taken and ID cards made during orientation.

Please contact the Resource Center staff about replacing a lost ID card. 

Online students can request an ID card be mailed to them.  To request an ID card, send a headshot photo, a photo of your driver's license for identification purposes, your South College ID number, and your mailing address to idcard@south.eduPlease note, your headshot needs to be your full head and shoulders, you must be facing front, no hats or sunglasses, and no social media filters for an approved ID photo.

Study Groups
Students wishing to form a study group may do so and reserve a study room in the Resource Center.  Rooms may be reserved by going to the Library Home page and clicking on the Reservations tab.  Study groups are a great way to support group projects, collaborative learning and informational exchanges.  Form a Study Group today and make use of the Resource Center study rooms. 

Student Laptops

Perhaps you forgot your laptop at home or it is in the repair shop; no need to stress.  Student laptops are available for check-out through the Resource Center.  If you forgot your laptop and have an online test, your instructor can check out a student laptop for you to use in class.  Laptops may not leave the building and must be returned the same day they are checked out.  Please come by the Resource Center and make use of this great service!
