Did You Know?
Interlibrary Loan
The library’s Interlibrary Loan service allows us to borrow books and copies of journal articles from other libraries when they can’t be found in our collection. We borrow materials from libraries all over the country. Find out more information about Interlibrary Loan (ILL) on the library website, or contact our ILL staff directly at illdept@south.edu with questions. Use the “Request this item through interlibrary loan” links in the library search to submit your request. Article requests can be filled as quickly as a day or two, with books arriving in the mail at your local campus library in 1-3 weeks.
Resource Highlight
Academic Video Online
Looking for video content for your course materials? Check out Academic Video Online (AVON), the library’s largest collection of streaming videos. AVON delivers over 70,000 titles spanning the entire range of curriculum from providers like CNN, PBS, and Bloomberg. It includes a variety of video material available: documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, and demonstrations. Use the library’s Link Request form to get preformatted URLs to post individual videos in Canvas.

Did you know you can include library content directly in your Canvas courses? While this is primarily done with library-provided hyperlinks to videos and ebooks purchased for specific courses, just about any library webpage or resource can be added in Canvas.
