Quarterly quick tips and intros about the Library Department for faculty.

Summer 2025 (1)

Resource Highlight: Library Orientation Course

The Library Orientation course in Canvas is just one way to provide your students with current information about the library.  The Library Orientation provides an orientation option for each campus and online, as well as each program, so your students can choose the orientations best suited to their location and academic pursuit. These orientations include videos, interactive web pages, and embedded quizzes.

For faculty who wish to receive confirmation that students have taken The Library Orientation, there is a submission form at the end that students can complete.  Students can save the certificate to upload in Canvas as an assignment.

Accommodations Student Testing

The Libraries and Resource Centers provide private study rooms that can be reserved for students with testing accommodations.  In most cases, remote proctoring via cameras is also available.  Faculty who have students with needs for a separate space and/or extra time can take advantage of library and resource center room reservations and proctoring to help facilitate the accommodations.  See the Reservations tab on the library website for room reservations.
