Course Guides for E-Reserve and Copyright Compliance
For unlicensed course materials and library resources in for-profit education, the library offers a service called E-Reserve, which allows faculty to place copyrighted material on hold or "reserve" for students of a specific class to download, print, or read online. For online access, PDFs and other files can be added to a password protected e-reserve course guide on the library website for students to access. This added step removes the course instructor from the equation of providing copyrighted materials directly to students, particularly if those materials have not been licensed for class or Canvas distribution.
Faculty can use the Course Guide Request Form on the library website to request one or multiple course guides throughout the year. With the new LibGuides integrations in Canvas (see recording at the end of this newsletter) these course guides can be pulled directly into your Canvas courses for faster access.

Faculty Requests for New Materials - Requests for Purchase
The library budgets to purchase new materials and resources for faculty and student use throughout the academic year. Faculty are encouraged to contact their program librarian to discuss new books, ebooks and materials to support their courses. A Request Form is available on the Faculty section of the library website.
