Climate Change: Community Resilience

Overview

Community resilience in the face of climate change refers to a community's capacity to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the impacts of climate-related hazards such as extreme weather events, sea-level rise, and heat waves. It involves building strong social networks, diversifying livelihoods, investing in sustainable infrastructure, and implementing early warning systems to minimize vulnerability and bounce back stronger from adversity. Ultimately, it's about creating a community that can thrive despite the challenges posed by a changing climate.
