Limited access to healthcare in rural areas is a major public health concern. Residents often face longer wait times and limited access to specialized care due to fewer providers, facilities, and services. Chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, are more prevalent in rural areas due to limited access to preventive care and healthy lifestyle resources. Mental health issues, substance abuse, and an aging population further exacerbate these challenges, creating a significant strain on healthcare systems in rural communities.
