Faculty Information: CEU Resources

Introduction to the library and library resources for faculty.

Continuing Education Defined

Continuing education measure formal learning outside of degree programs. They are essential for professionals in rapidly changing fields like healthcare, education, business, and technology. By requiring continuing education, organizations and licensing boards ensure that professionals stay updated on industry developments, maintain high standards, and ultimately protect the public.

What kind of continuing education do I need?

  • Most medical professionals, such as physicians and physician assistants, are required to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits from approved providers to maintain their license.
  • Some medical professionals, such as nurses and educators, may use Continuing Education (CE or CEU) credits in order to maintain their license.
  • ***Check your state license requirements to know for sure.***
