Laptops

Each library and resource center has laptops that are available for student use.  Laptops are for on-campus use only. Laptops can be checked out for four hours at a time. Your South College ID card is required to check out a laptop.  The first time you check out a laptop you will need to sign a laptop agreement form. Contact your local library or resource center to reserve a laptop.

Intercampus Delivery

Library materials from one location can be delivered to another campus location by placing a request with a library or resource center staff member, or completing the Library Delivery Request form. Materials checked out can be returned to either campus.

Holds & Renewals

Students may place a hold on books and videos in the library collection. Speak to a library staff member to place a book, or video on hold. Students may renew items for one additional loan period unless the items have been put on hold by another library patron.

Overdue Materials

Overdue notices for library materials will be emailed to students one day after the due date of the materials.

Daily fines are not charged on overdue materials.

Student with overdue items that have not been returned will be billed on the 15th of the month after the item became overdue.  For example, a book that became overdue in May will be billed on June 15th.

Please note: Students cannot graduate with any outstanding, overdue or unpaid materials on their records. Former or transfer students with any outstanding overdue or unpaid materials still on their records may have their transcripts held.

Please be kind to your fellow students and your librarians by returning your materials on time!
