Library Orientations
Interested in learning more about all the services and resources the South College Library provides to support your education? The library offers an online Library Orientation Course in Canvas that will walk you through everything you need to know to get started with the library. The course offers a different version for each city as well as the online campus, so you can take the orientation designed for your location. You can also book an appointment with one of your program’s librarians for a one-on-one orientation, in person or via Zoom.

Finding Full Text in the Online Library
Not sure where to find full text articles and books for your research? The library’s Discover Search is a single search box option for finding articles, books/ebooks, videos and other items in the library’s online and print collections. Discover is located at the top of the library homepage. When you search Discover, your initial results will pull from the library’s full text subscriptions, purchased books and ebooks, and free online resources. You can use the menus on the left to limit to content types like journals and books. You can check out our video series on Using the Discover Search on YouTube!
Room Reservations
Looking for a place to study on campus? Many of our campus libraries and resource centers provide meeting rooms for student use. You can reserve a library/resource center meeting room in advance through the Reservations tab on the library website to ensure that a room is available when you need it. When not reserved, rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. You can also check out our video on how to submit Room Reservations on YouTube.
