Did You Know?

Searching the Library Collection
Not sure where to get started with a research topic?  Use our Search the Library single search box to get started locating articles, books & ebooks, videos and other items in the library’s online and print collections.  Like Google, enter your keywords and hit search to get started. Library tutorials on Library Search Basics can be found on the Tutorials page, and in the “How-To Video Tutorials” menu.  Stuck and not finding the right articles?  The library’s Ask a Librarian chat button is embedded in search results page for quick access to a Reference Librarian for help!

Interlibrary Loan

Found a book or article the library doesn’t have? Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is available when you need resources not included in the library’s subscriptions or for free online.  ILL is a borrowing service used by libraries to share materials all over the world.  Use the “Request this item through interlibrary loan” links in the library search to submit your request.  Your ILL Librarian will request copies of articles and books for you from other libraries.  Article requests can be filled as quickly as a day or two, with books arriving in the mail at your local campus library in 1-3 weeks.

Resource Highlight:

Wall Street Journal
The library now provides access to the Wall Street Journal for all faculty and students.  Using your South College Library credentials to create a personal user account will allow you to sign into the WSJ website and the app both on and off campus.  Check out the library’s Wall Street Journal Guide for detailed sign-up steps and start reading today!
