Did You Know?
Searching the Library Collection
Not sure where to get started with a research topic? The library’s search tool is a single search box option to find articles, books/ebooks, videos and other items in the library’s online and print collections. Like Google, enter your keywords and hit search to get started. Library tutorials on how to use the library’s search tools can be found on the Tutorials page, under the “Intro to the Library Videos” section. Stuck and not finding the right articles? The library’s Ask a Librarian chat button is embedded in both the library’s search tool and on the library website pages themselves for quick access to a Reference Librarian for help!
Room Reservations
Looking for a place to study on campus? Many of our campus libraries and resource centers provide meeting rooms for student use. You can reserve a library/resource center meeting room in advance through the Reservations tab on the library website, to ensure that a room is available when you need it. When not reserved, rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Resource Highlight:
Video Collections
Did you know the library offers students access to multiple video streaming services covering a variety of topics? They are all located under the Resources tab on the library website, just hover over the resource tab, and then click on Videos & Video Collections. Video services include Acland’s Video Atlas of Human Anatomy, Bates Visual Guide, HSTalks and ICE Video Library which focus on videos related to the healthcare and science fields. The library also gives students access to the Academic Video Online, and Swank Digital Campus streaming services that offer access to feature films, documentaries and more. If you have questions about accessing any videos please reach out to the library.
